Suppose you want to be an entrepreneur. If you have that opportunity, how
would you justify yourself as an entrepreneur? Identify a business for yourself
that, you think, has a lot of potential; and give reasons in favor of your choice.
Hey Folks,
I was recently at a conference with my colleagues and heard from one of the top entrepreneurs in my business the ultimate in explanation for what defines an entrepreneur. Most people use the word entrepreneur very loosely and I think that the following will set the record straight.
An Entrepreneur is personally growing
Hello, and congratulations on becoming an Internet Entrepreneur with your very own Web Business!!! To get you fast-tracked, we have included a vast selection of tips and tricks to make your online business a success that it deserves to be.
1) First of all, choose a domain name that is somehow related to the business you are in. For example, if you are looking for a domain name for your pillow business, you might want to try using a name like www.SquarePillows.com or www.PillowSleep.com. It is important to use a “real” domain name. Your visitors will not take your business seriously if you use a free domain name like www.tripod.com/squarepillows , or www.angelfire.com/pillowsleep . A lot of the good domain names are already spoken for, but if you are patient enough, you will search and find one that is still available. If you think that you will need more than one domain name, get that one now too, as thousands of names are taken up each day. Do a search under “Google” using “cheap domain names” as your search words. You will find some very reasonably priced domain registrars. The cheapest one that I have found so far is at www.GoDaddy.com. They are a full service operation offering web hosting and cheap, cheap, cheap domain registration.
Over the years countless institutes and individuals have asked the million dollar question. What makes an entrepreneur an entrepreneur? What traits or characteristics are inherent to a successful entrepreneur and is one born with those traits? There’s great news! Successful entrepreneurs are born every day!
Some people believe an entrepreneur is born while others believe an entrepreneur can be taught. Some believe an entrepreneur is like an artist – either you have it or do you don’t. Some see entrepreneurs as leaders that are focused, disciplined, competitive, and charismatic, while others see them as huge risk takers. And all of these analogies are right to some degree.
The Farm Science Centres known as ‘Krishi Vigyan Kendra’ (KVK) are functional in various districts of India for imparting vocational training to different clientele groups. KVK at the National Dairy Research Institute (NDRI), Karnal has been functioning since 1976. The main aim of KVK is to develop entrepreneurship amongst the rural people especially the farmers, farm-women rural youth and the entrepreneurs in different areas of agriculture, dairying, fisheries, bee-keeping and home science for enhancing productivity, increasing income and employment for the welfare of human beings.
Apparently John Sperling started his entrepreneur career a little later than some, at the age of 55. While some people of his generation were retiring John was just getting started. Who is John Sperling, you ask well today he is a billionaire after a huge IPO. It took 18 years to get that IPO and several hard fought battles against an American tradition which was sorely outdated.
Was his company a high-tech, medical, government defense, or some miracle multilevel marketing company? No, in fact it was the most untraditional company America has ever seen. He has had hate mail, media defamation, and an entire non-profit organization that he spent 12 years building defy and leave him in the cold. California State Government officials taunted him, and his company was eventually kicked out of the “Great State” of California by the WASC; he was a true under dog in the academic world. So he went to Arizona to start again.
I originally had this idea for a Non-Profit organization that dealt specifically with education. I won’t give out the details of it, but it was something that would be provided for, obviously, of no charge and something I’ve felt is greatly needed in my area.
Upon studying non-profits, however, I learned that a Board must be developed. I’m afraid that if my idea is left up to a vote amongst others, there won’t be a chance that my vision would come to light amidst differing opinions within the board. At the same time I want to start up a company that doesn’t have a profit goal but is solely for the benefit of the community.
Hey, we have to do an entrepreneur fair at my school, and I need ideas for what to do. Here are the guidelines:
It has to be sold for $0.25 – $2.00
The cost of making the products can’t exceed $25.00
It can’t be a service
It can’t be food
Help!!! :S
IM ASKING FOR AN OPINION
I would like to get a torch, metal -cutting, for use in salvage and recycling work. What are my options? I’m an entrepreneur with little starting capital, I also need to factor in training to my start-up costs.
I’ve heard there are two kinds of welding. Arc welding, and what’s the other called? Well, by now this is grist for another question, if I don’t read up on it before hand. Currently I’m occupied in writing, so there’s no hurry. Or is there?
