Americans, do you think people who earn higher than the national average income are leaving your country?
People like business owners, entrepreneurs, the highly skilled and the highly qualified, do you think they will be leaving or accepting the first opportunity to leave the USA, now that future President Obama is going to impose a higher tax on anyone who earns more?
Raising the barr: i am afraid so!
Don’t you think future president Obama’s move to increase tax for those with higher income is a strategic move to gain votes for people who are left frustrated by Bush’s tax cut move?

Well they havent in Britain.
No, and I’m not going anywhwere.
If you ask me, the ones that have to stay in the US (Walmart, Home Depot) are going to raise prices. So who’s really paying for this again?
Well ,if any are going to leave, I’ve got an idea. How about moving to Alaska and join the Alaska Independence Party up there. Once Alaska secedes from the US, they’ll be in another country.
Businesses can move their operations to other countries and the owner can still live in the USA, so yes.
LOL where are they gonna go?
People with money always find ways to beat the tax man. The US is still the best country on earth so I don’t see people leaving. More businesses may set up manufacturing in China. But the owners and managers will remain where the markets are.
No, but their money is leaving, no doubt.
People who think they can over-tax some people and those people will take that sitting down have another guess coming.
The rich are rich because they aren’t stupid, and they are already planning on how they will stay rich no matter what is thrown at them.
Btw, the funny part is that many of the rich are democrats.
We’re just moving our money offshore…easier than moving physically, don’tchathink?
And which country would accept them exactly?
A lot of Businesses will incorporate in small low tax countries to avoid the USA Tax. If you do a lot of business in other countries it makes good sense. I do business in Canada, Mexico and Virgin Islands as well as USA so I am talking to the accountant about it next week.
yes
yes another reason why I didn’t vote for him
If the taxes imposed by the Obama administration are oppressive, I believe that a few rich individuals who already spend much of their time abroad might decide to leave the US. However, I think Obama is merely proposing to roll back the Bush tax cuts. Taxes rates would be the same as they were during the Clinton’s term.
Corporations have been moving operations to other countries for years, and this trend only accelerated after their taxes were cut. The real reason they have relocated is US labor costs, not US taxes, so this trend will continue regardless.
Where would you expect them to go? No matter what, the taxes in the US are still low. Even for the rich. Yeah, they could move to Bolivia or Angola or some other pit but, no, they are not going anywhere. But if any are leaving, bon voyage.
Wall street got us in a financial mess with the government looking the other way.It is not just about taxes,we need to regulate Wall street first then eliminate tax break for corporations that move overseas, increase tariffs,go after Americans that hide their income overseas, cut spending including Iraq war, increase taxes to cover huge deficits, create jobs incentive for Americans ,create government jobs by rebuilding the infrastructure such ad roads ,bridges, enforce IRS laws to collect more taxes and eliminate wastefull spending.
I suggest we kill whoever ditches USA. We tie them to a pole, then we stone them and burn them, not to death. Then we bury them alive in the desert.
