Education for an Entrepreneur?

OK, about myself, I’m 18 and starting my Sophomore year in Community College. I always wanted to work for myself, I started a few websites at 14 years old and raked in $15k+ since then (and still reaping the fruits of my labor, but am not interested in web based businesses). I’ve never had a boss and I love it. Anyway,

I want to get a degree that will get me a good position in a field that is related to Business, the economy, finance (whatever would be required for an Entrepreneur to know).

John Sperling, Educator and Entrepreneur

Apparently John Sperling started his entrepreneur career a little later than some, at the age of 55. While some people of his generation were retiring John was just getting started. Who is John Sperling, you ask well today he is a billionaire after a huge IPO. It took 18 years to get that IPO and several hard fought battles against an American tradition which was sorely outdated.

Was his company a high-tech, medical, government defense, or some miracle multilevel marketing company? No, in fact it was the most untraditional company America has ever seen. He has had hate mail, media defamation, and an entire non-profit organization that he spent 12 years building defy and leave him in the cold. California State Government officials taunted him, and his company was eventually kicked out of the “Great State” of California by the WASC; he was a true under dog in the academic world. So he went to Arizona to start again.

We live in an age of galloping increases in affluence for those who already are affluent. That trend is often hidden by small changes in the average numbers.


There are several causes for the booming wealth expansion among the affluent. First, in many countries the number of people with more education that can be employed in the global marketplace is rapidly growing. These people earn higher incomes and are more likely to start successful businesses and make good investments.


By contrast, the number of people who do not have the skills to compete globally is also growing rapidly. These people, unfortunately, see their incomes dropping in proportion to their fellow citizens. As a result, average incomes in a country may be little changed while dynamic shifts within those averages are happening.

How To Be A Successful Entrepreneur

An entrepreneur does many wonderful things. In fact, many people are amazed with how the entrepreneur’s mind works. How does an entrepreneur become successful? And most importantly, do you want to be a successful entrepreneur too? 

Firstly, an effective entrepreneur should have great ideas. You have to research if your business idea is feasible. After gathering all the needed information, you can now decide if you will pursue the business idea or simply file it and do it in the future. For instance, you decide to pursue the idea. The next thing that you would have to focus on is generating the capital needed.

China launches renewed “Patriotic Education” Campaign across all sections in Tibet

The Chinese authorities in the “Tibet Autonomous Region” (‘TAR’) and other Tibetan areas in neighboring provinces have launched a two-months renewed “Patriotic Education” campaign covering almost every sections of society beginning primarily with the monastic institutions, party cadres, security forces and government employees, farmers and private entrepreneurs, educational institutions and common people, to denounce the Dalai Lama and the “splittist forces” in the coming two months.
