The most popular and first question on this topic is normally, “How can you become an entrepreneur?” and “How do I become a successful entrepreneur?” but the first question to ask is “Do you know what it takes to be an entrepreneur?” Are you ready to change your mindset to being an entrepreneur? This question must be asked by anyone and everyone before thinking of starting any business venture. And yes, first of all you would have to understand who and what an entrepreneur is. What is entrepreneurship per se?
An entrepreneur is someone who enters into a business, market or a segment of a market that no one has entered before and subsequently sets the standards and guideline to it that results in a paradigm shift in the whole industry. An entrepreneur is someone who is willing to take risk in a business endeavor. Entrepreneurship is the art of recognizing an opportunity and then pursuing it to success. As the saying goes “brilliant people also see the same things that others do, but they observe things that most don’t”. Entrepreneurs don’t just recognize opportunity, they act immediately by grabbing each and every great opportunity they get and see it through to the end. That is probably the biggest reason for their success.

PepsiCo today announces the second phase of its women entrepreneur programme, in partnership with the Trestle Group Foundation, to provide business support to high-potential women entrepreneurs in emerging economies.
Nur Begen, the owner of Organicera, a Turkish company producing high quality cotton goods and Deniz Alkan, Finance Director of Beverages for PepsiCo Turkey, will be the second round of female entrepreneurs to participate in the programme which will provide a unique blend of traditional coaching techniques combined with consulting, supervising and skills development.
