Instead of the products, the perfect products, because the resource allocation, then out of what is mediocre. A mediocre product is not impress users may.”

At the same time, ZhouHongYi said, innovation must be a few people do, is a high failure rate, as most people do not understand. So, innovation is like forrest gump in forrest gump, a little ShaJinEr, often be scoffed at, but there is a RenJinEr. A startup company must have a “two hundred and fifty” the same ShaJinEr, forrest gump the same RenJinEr, to the innovation to have faith, there is intense emotion. If not innovation, venture company in power but large companies go, if you don’t go the way of innovation, must rise.

Article by Ken Triat

“Am I an entrepreneur?” Who is to say you are or you aren’t, or that you will become or will not become an Entrepreneur at some point in your life.

It might be a common question, but it is the right or wrong one to ask yourself, because how you review the situation may lead you equally into action or inaction. Entrepreneurship is not a “yes” or “no” phenomenon it’s not something you can buy or sell. It is also not a question of either “Yes, I’m an entrepreneur” or, “No, I’m not an entrepreneur.”

Entrepreneurship is not genetic. It has nothing to do with your parent’s ability or chromosomes. Neither is it an inherited trait that is handed down through observation of family members. Entrepreneurs are not born; they seem to develop out of adversity, more than from affluence. They have great passion and make things happen because of their will to succeed through gained skills and knowledge that support this passion. (Yes it is topped with a bit of luck of being in the right place at the right time in some cases). You can however learn and enhance the skills that make all entrepreneurs successful. The passion? Well we will leave that up to you.

So where do we begin? Perhaps start by asking yourself the right question:”How can I learn what I need to know, and improve my entrepreneurial skills to maximize my chances of succeeding?”

That’s the right question because successful entrepreneurs learn to develop and strengthen their personal power skills. Don’t give up on yourself before realizing that you can develop these skills. Becoming a successful entrepreneur is within your grasp if you really want to make it happen. It all falls back to the passion you hold. Have “No or little passion” and you will procrastinate, develop self doubt and in a short time you will fail. Hold your passion and the boundaries to wealth creation are limited only by your own vision. Passion allows you to drive through, to endure and become creative, where others lacking the passion faultier.

Consider this list of what are considered the Essential Entrepreneurial Power Skills. If you want to be a successful entrepreneur, you must learn to:

1. Assess the present situation. Hone your ability to observe, collect information, and understand the opportunities and threats that can impact you and your business-to-be. Factor in your own personal strengths, skills, experiences, challenges, and resource limitations. If you begin with the wrong assumptions, you will invariably get the wrong answers.

2. Go after bold visions. Having gone through a reasoned assessment, you are in a position to establish clear, measurable goals. Be bold! You can accomplish considerably more than you realize. And it takes about the same amount of effort to go for the gold as for bronze.

3. Be unstoppable. Focus your attention on the timely execution of every milestone on the path to your goal. You and your team will face many obstacles along the way, but you will not let these stumbling blocks stop you. Just show up and get it done–period.

4. Brainstorm. Brainstorming harnesses the thinking, experiences, and imagination of a group to generate creative ideas and solve problems. The collective knowledge of a group is vastly greater than that of any one individual; and therein lays the power of the brainstorming process.

5. Negotiate firmly and “win-win.” Every interaction between people can benefit from proficiency at win-win negotiation. You can accomplish what you want and still retain a productive relationship based on mutual understanding and accommodation. Here are the ground rules:

a) Listen and understand, before seeking to be understood.b) Separate the people from the process.c) Focus on interests, not positions.d) Insist on objective criteria.e) Invent options for mutual gain.f) Solve problems effectively. There is rarely a day in business or a personal life that a problem doesn’t crop up that needs to be solved. Problem solving is a skill that can be learned through study and practice. Start by identifying the problem meticulously, examine changes, test for causes, and verify the solution. Your rate of success improves dramatically with your ability to solve problems.

6. Make good decisions. The ability to make good decisions is essential to success in business and personal life. Decision making can also be learned and enhanced. The process begins with clarifying the decision statement; then defining what the right decision must accomplish; developing and evaluating alternatives; examining future consequences; and finally, making a reasoned choice. This is a process you can learn and apply to systematically improve your decision-making ability, as well as become a better problem solver. You don’t have to wing it.

7. Mobilize resources. You can’t accomplish anything without understanding how to leverage resources, which, in the entrepreneurial vocabulary, are anything, absolutely anything that moves your venture further and faster with the least risk possible. Categories of resources include: physical, financial, infrastructure, people, knowledge, and your own unbridled imagination.

8. Communicate. You’ve assessed the situation, put your bold vision in place, and established performance initiatives. Now what happens? Nothing – unless you communicate consistently and constantly to all stakeholders. Be clear with stakeholders about what you intend to accomplish and what you expect from them.

9. Act decisively. Entrepreneurship is a contact sport. It is not only about thinking, planning, coordinating, strategizing, and visioning–it is about doing. Figure out how to get the task done. Be unstoppable in its execution.

10. Behave with integrity. There are people for whom you would do anything, and others with whom you would not waste your time; the difference is the quality of the person’s character and behavior. Integrity, honesty, trustworthiness, reliability, knowledge, professionalism, maturity, punctuality, good negotiating and listening skills and, last but never least, humor, are the qualities of successful entrepreneurs. Stick to these, and never waver!

Article by Wayne Brown Institute

In the business venturing world a SIDELINED ENTREPRENEUR is just that… someone who can enthusiastically follow the action, and who knows how the game is played, but is not a player in the start up, investor, or entrepreneur community. While you do know that there is such a thing as a general entrepreneur “expert success script” (the pattern for entrepreneurial success), several things are keeping you on the entrepreneur sidelines and out of the new venture capital (VC) game. You are reluctant to take start up or private equity risks. You lack investor and venture capital resources (cash, contacts, infrastructure, technology, etc.). And it’s likely that you don’t yet appreciate the highly-structured and complex patterns, plans and methods, or depth of discernment (knowing when a venture is “on” or “off” course) necessary for a clear understanding of the highly-specialized venture capital (VC) environment.

Also, it’s important to know that when the sidelined entrepreneurs happen to hold positions of power (such as a bank officer, attorney, accountant, etc.), they may feel all too free to give advice, and expect it to be taken.

So even though you can appear “entrepreneurial”, and you are often quite good at describing the expert success script… you are not an entrepreneur or venture capital expert, yet.

The Way Forward

You can certainly add value as part of a team in an existing business opportunity or start up by sharing your knowledge of the “entrepreneur success script”. But on your own, you are not in a position to pursue a new start up. Get involved in mentorship programs, and you will learn more skills required to pursue investors and private equity.

If you want to venture, the main thing that’s holding you back is your need for guesswork. You need to enhance and improve your ability to recognize when a venture is, or is not, following the patterns necessary for success. So take a course in entrepreneurship, preferably one taught using the “experiential method”. It’s important to identify experts who may be able to help you refine your “antenna” (helping you to pay attention to the fine points, strategies, and tactics of building a new business). Cources in experiential learning will also greatly help you grow and develop.

You may eventually discover that your entrepreneurial profile is changing, and that you are becoming an “Institutional Expert”…which may be a more rewarding venturing type for you. Such expertise will also help you attract greater investors, private equity, or venture capital investment.

The entrepreneur who lacks resources often can’t really explain the reasons why he or she is, in fact, resource poor. It’s actually a “blind spot” for them, and they often attribute their lack of resources to unavoidable events. But the scarcity of resources may only be the “tangible evidence” that this particular entrepreneur has a limited ability to execute or perform the requirements of the Entrepreneurial Success Script(the pattern for achieving success in a new business venture).

For example, they may not have properly “harvested” past business ventures (captured profits or turned equity into financial gain) thereby generating sufficient resources to make possible future venturing. The entrepreneurs who lack resources may also be “lone wolves” who have not learned how to mobilize others. Or, they may not have recognized their area of extraordinary expertise (what they do best) and are “barking up the wrong tree”.Many venturing types who are either “Classic Expert Entrepreneurs” or “Institutional Experts”, have “done their time” in the area of lacking resources. Times of scarcity appear to be a natural part of the new venturing experience, and for this reason those who lack resources have a unique situation. Things such as raising venture capital or finding potential investors may appear to be far from their current state. So, within this group are opportunities waiting to be refined. And while their plans should be given serious consideration, they should also be thoroughly scrutinized. What You Should DoYou might currently feel comfortable going it alone with your own limited resources, or lending your venturing expertise to an established business opportunity where resources (such as cash, contacts, infrastructure, technology, etc.) are already in place. But if the entrepreneurs who lack resources intend to engage in or proceed with a new venture, they should seek help from other experts, or from appropriate consultants. You probably need an expert advisory board. Essentially, your needs “appear” to be resources, and in fact they partly are. But they also include the need for close examination by experts other than yourself (venture capitalists, institutional experts within a bank or small business department of a university, or by expert venturers) to identify the more subtle reasons why resources are flowing slowly or not at all.So, if you lack resources and are intent on undertaking a new venture, try to humble yourself, find an extra measure of patience, put yourself into a listening frame of mind, and start seeking detailed, specific input regarding the approach that you are taking to your venture. Most likely you will face the obstacle of being over-optimistic on your own part and will attempt to refute or challenge the advice you get (viewing it as being irrelevant or lacking in optimism). You really are dealing with a potential “blind spot” and are likely to misinterpret the information that you receive. Essentially you will benefit most from triangulation (several sources of input), and from patience, humility, and open-mindedness. What you may discover is worth the wait!

Looking at the top entrepreneurs in any field will show one common quality to which they can attribute their successes. In most every case their business success is a direct by-product for the passion they possess. No where is this more true than with internet entrepreneurs being that in most instances their passion is their chief major resource. For many working online their financial resources are limited therefore they must call upon other resources to compensate as a result. So why does being passionate play such an essential role in the financial ‘fates’ of successful entrepreneurs?

Here is a look at 3 huge benefit this one particular quality offers anybody working online in terms of their ability to achieve business success!

Excitement Initiates Action

For many taking the first step is the most difficult part of carrying out any plan. The excitement produced by being passionate helps to push people to take immediate action. As many know the first step is usually the hardest one to take but successful entrepreneurs use their enthusiasm to overcome this hurdle.

Enthusiasm Drives You On

The energy supplied by an enthusiastic mood helps to propel internet entrepreneurs further into any new project or business venture thus creating momentum. As progress is seen moods are driven higher and so is the level of motivation as well. This is a good position to be in because after seeing progress you also know the concept or ideas you are pursuing actually work.

Resilience Drives You Even Further

Now it is unrealistic to assume there will not be glitches or set backs to contend with but when they do arise your passion helps to minimize any disappointment or discouragement. The tendency is to continue moving forward and the attitude is you will not be denied and this is what is needed to achieve business success. The willingness to do what it takes to get the job done and passion helps to provide and nurture this willingness!

The top entrepreneurs in just about every field all share a common bond insofar as a certain quality they all possess. Being passionate about their business pursuits seems to be an very important factor as to how many successful entrepreneurs reach their goals. In fact no where is this more evident than with the vast majority of internet entrepreneurs. For many working online financial resources are limited therefore what they lack in capital has to be made up for in their efforts and determination. Passion serve as a great resource, as the discussion above explains, for supplying the necessary drive and resilience needed for business success. If this is a ‘resource’ you have in abundance than channeling your efforts online seems to be the way for you to go!

An entrepreneur must ACT not only for immediate success but for long term improvement in results through experience.

The resource that most benefits an individual who considers their activities to be entrepreneurial comes in the form of self knowledge. I like to stay away from hazy metaphysical idea’s when I write articles however, in this case there is nothing hazy about this concept. Knowledge only sets your foot out the door. Action puts you on the path. But the resource that gives the entrepreneur the most success is the the resource that resides within them AFTER they have experienced some success.

Its difficult to verbalize, but Napolean Hill in “Think and grow rich” identified two distinct types of imagination. One was called creative and the other was called synthetic.

Creative imagination was capable of creation in the biblical sense. The creative type of imagination create visions that have never been seen ever before.

The synthetic imagination is much more common and is actually a composite of different existing concepts that your mind creates that are nevertheless original if only based on existing realities.

The resource that experience gives you as an entrepreneur resides in both places. You may have heard the expression, “nothing succeeds like success” Here’s the meaning of that saying.

When you stumble across success, whether its your own or you read about somebody else’s, you go through a recording experience not dissimilar to burning a CD. This experience creates a file (so to speak) that is put away and replayed when existing circumstances create a play of that file. Stress is a good initiator of the play button depending on what type of circumstances are causing that stress. The psyche is under pressure to complete a task and it accesses relevant stored information about the possible solution.

This mechanism is a resource that all successful entrepreneurs use often to achieve results based on their successful experiences. To set this mechanism up in your own mind if you still haven’t begun your entrepreneurial career is to read about strategies and experiences of others. Immerse your psyche in knowledge and information and experiences in print. Take to it with vigour over a longer period before you finally begin to act. By doing this your store of resources gets exponentially bigger because your synthetic imagination spawns new “experiences” and stories and examples while dreaming and during day dreaming. The resources are mixed with your own real world experiences to give you even more unique resources.

I am not a psychologist but I have read enough about this sort of thing to understand how it happens and am able to observe it in my own inner environment. Once you have enough inner resources you should feel great motivation. Like a motor revving its accelerator, you should find yourself being drawn to certain ideas and preferences. Its theses idea’s you will formally begin to test and finally act on. This resource will stay with you for life.

Knowledge + Action = Profits.

Martin Thomas (c)2005

Martin is a professional investor and Entrepreneur. If you would like to discover more about being an entrepreneur, you can read “The Million Dollar Mentor” by Hayden Muller. Martin recommends this work highly and has used the very concepts contained in the work for his own successful entrepreneurial activities. http://www.opportunity-investor.com

Being an entrepreneur doesn’t mean being cheap, it means doing more with less.

“We are trying to be more entrepreneurial so we are doing it on a small budget”

“We are trying to incorporate the entrepreneurial spirit so we are doing things on the cheap so we are forced to be resourceful”

“How do I make my 0 stretch further?”

Heard these statements before? I know I have!

Today, more than ever individuals, organization and big companies are trying to find ways to infuse the entrepreneurial spirit into their lives and their work. Companies often give the mandate to their teams to act more entrepreneurially and less corporate. Individuals and small business owners look at successful entrepreneurs and try to find ways to mimic their results in their own lives.

This entrepreneurial mandate that we’ve given ourselves makes sense given the state of the world. The entrepreneur has always been the shining light of big dreams and daring action. There is this sense that unleashing the entrepreneur within will lead to more happiness, amazing dreams and more opportunities. In many ways I think this is correct. The entrepreneurial spirit is what allows us to think differently, see opportunities where others see blank spaces and have more presence and energy.

But, what does it mean to live the entrepreneurial spirit? From my vantage point as an entrepreneur, speaker, idea tinkerer and observer of life the entrepreneurial spirit is often misunderstood as the resources or results produced by that spirit. I think the spotlight is often on the wrong part. It’s not actually about the result, it’s about the mindset that got to the result.

It’s these mindsets that I want to explore and bring to life. I’ve had the honor of not just being but meeting so many people that really embody the entrepreneurial spirit and there is something unique and different about all of them. I think we’ve all met that person. They just see the world differently. Sometimes we think they are crazy and a little off their rocker but we can’t deny that they somehow always break-through and find a way to stand out in a sea of sameness.

There are several mindsets that we will explore moving forward in what I’m calling the Green Light Life Series. I call it Green Light because those that embody the entrepreneurial spirits always look for the green lights, the turn, the curve and the path that keeps them learning and growing in motion. That’s the Green Light Life – unleashing the entrepreneurial spirit in every action every day.

The first mindset I want to explore is “do more with less”. Most people confuse this with cheap or scrappy but those words couldn’t be further from this mindset. I can’t tell you the number of times organizations have told me they want their employees to be more entrepreneurial so they cut their budgets. Individuals that want to live a more entrepreneurial life will tell me that they want to stretch their resources further. It’s often followed with a statement like, “we are going to do things cheap and scrappy.”

Is not having a lot of resources or cash at hand entrepreneurial or is how you think about those resources the true spirit or mindset behind being entrepreneurial? Clearly, I would say it’s the mindset that we need to pay attention to, not just the resources and results.

Yes, it’s true many entrepreneurs don’t have the grand resources at the beginning of their journey. But, and this is a big but, there is a difference between I’m only spending on this because I’m cheap and how do I add value to what I’m getting for this . That is the essence of the Green Light Entrepreneur and the Green Light Life. How do I do more with less? How do I not just stretch my dollar but swing for the fences with every penny, every quarter and every single dollar that makes up that . How do I get more out of the situation, the experience or the resource? The difference here is that that mindset lasts regardless of whether you have or Million dollars. If I get an hour with my team, how do I make it the most impactful hour ever? Do I really need an hour or can I get even better results with 30 minutes? If my to-do list is 10 pages deep, what can I prioritize that will move me forward?

Do you see where I’m headed? There is nothing cheap about this mindset at all. In fact, it’s quite the opposite. It’s a mindset of abundance. It’s a mindset of – wow , I can do so much with what I have. The key here is that it applies at all levels, not just in the beginning. Cheap and scrappy is a mindset of scarcity and doesn’t fit into the entrepreneurial spirit of abundance. Green Light Entrepreneurs are probably some of the most abundant thinking, optimistic people I know. And for those of you that know me, I have no doubt that you probably describe me as crazy optimistic.

If you are like many people out there right now looking for that feeling of abundance remember that “do more with less” can get you there. Ask yourself where are you being cheap and scrappy, ie. mindset of scarcity and where can you do more with less, ie. mindset of abundance. Take a look at how you approach your life, your work, your goals and your family? How do you tackle that problem or that amazing opportunity? Here are a few Green Light versus Red Light Questions that can help you make sure you are doing more with less and embodying the Green Light Mindset every day.

Green Light (do more with less) vs. Red Light (cheap and scrappy) Questions:

Am I optimizing my time? vs. How can I cram it all in with the time I have?

How can I get the most impact from my team? vs. Who can I delegate the work too without adding resources?

How can I get the most for my money? vs. How can I stretch my dollars?

What are the opportunities from this situation? vs. What’s the one thing I should focus on?

What do I prioritize that will move me forward? vs. How do I check off my to-do list?

If you ask yourself Green Light Questions you will get Green Light Solutions. You might even amaze yourself with some new thinking and ideas. Today, I challenge you to embrace the Green Light Life and unleash the entrepreneur within. Replace your Red Light Mindsets with Green Light Mindsets and you’ll be on your way to a Green Light Life.

Dream big. Imagine often. Swing for the fences!

Next Green Light Mindset: Doing the opposite of what’s expected

Dragons’ Den is one of the top rated programs in BBC because of its slick, intriguing and sometimes heart-stopping approach in closing business deals. It has captured viewers and aspiring entrepreneurs to go out there and show them what they got. The only problem is, they need to hear the sweet “YES” from one of them.

Since series five, the five Dragons have been Duncan Bannatyne, James Caan, Deborah Meaden, Peter Jones and Theo Paphitis. They are one of the biggest investors in UK and their goal in the show is to listen to the business proposals of small businessmen and decide whether or not to lend their own hard-earned money to help the person start their own business.

My idea is to help a number of startups increase their skills and value until they are ready for the “Dragons” or better yet, be well qualified for a great chance of success on their own. I would require a fee for the advice or it may be based on the future profits of the business.

From the research information produced by watching the “Dragons’ Den” program, a very clear list of investment ready criteria can be established. It is obvious that many have no chance of investment because they are not matching up with what the investors want. Particularly what the individual dragons’ preferences are. Each idea needs progressing to add value for the Dragons to take a real interest and be impressed. For example, the idea needs to have a clear easily reached market.

Ideally it must be scalable, perhaps a global potential, as this catches the attention of the Dragons who obviously want a return on their investment and more. Plus a global idea may fit their global ambitions either. For more information about the topic.

My idea is to exploit the “boomer” generation such as those who were born in the 1960′s who are now nearing retirement. Because of the economic crisis, there are many redundant employees who didn’t even reach retirement age when they were retrenched.

The situation gives them the feeling of inferiority because looking for another job is very difficult. Now that most companies are targeting the young, these senior citizens have a little chance to make it in the working industry again. What they don’t know is many of them have the chance to prove that they may be “unnecessary” but they’re still capable to start a business.

There are many retirees who decide to use they’re retirement salaries and pension to start their own business. Some want to turn a hobby or other interests into an income generating process because they know not only does it enhance life, it will also give them passion to live longer.

Most of the retirees aren’t graduates from a business college. Usually, the business trend is reflected in the demand for further educational attainment specifically the MBA, high amount for capital and a lot of strategic planning.

Another factor which has stimulated this trend is the celebrity status of entrepreneurs and the promotion of TV programs such as “Dragons’ Den” and “Shark Tank”. These demands are high and expensive but it doesn’t mean that you can’t have your own business.

I want to offer a free web space, free internet business education and free customized quality reports to help emerging entrepreneurs test their ideas and adopt tested ideas before they spend their hard earned pension.

If the service shows quality, they will be able to earn loyal customers who will be willing to buy more advanced packages. Another way to get customers is to offer a free newsletter which gives important information to subscribers’ questions. The educational site will also benefit these retirees less time for researching since all of the articles needed for information is one click away.

The basic platform is online and it just requires you to go visit www.silver-entrepreneur.com if you’re interested.

Fashion is not just donning models with the latest designer labels to work it in the runway, fashion also means business. Better yet, a very tough business. The clothing fashion industry is very competitive and to break into this market with a new brand requires something special or a new trend/style with a strategy to get mass attention.

Budding fashion designers enter a hard-hitting world where they take the road along with the famous and veteran designers who’s got their names tagged on clothes all over the world. How can someone still unknown top that? It’s very difficult. However, I didn’t say it’s impossible.

To earn customers and sell new designs from new designers, my idea is to target the fashion student/entrepreneur who thinks they have a brilliant idea that could work out. A recent survey by “Shell” indicated that 40% of young people think of starting their own business and spend 24 hours a week talking about it mostly while socializing.

Entrepreneurs are getting much greater media attention because of programs such as “Dragons’ Den”, “The Apprentice” and “The Big Idea”. This is a world wide phenomena but the big problem is how to market to these young people?

One strategy might be to get a well known entrepreneur who is connected to the media to model and wear the garments. It’s like getting known with free advertisement. If you want a “celebrity entrepreneur” to model your creations, it requires making an offer he/she cannot refuse. Perhaps assets in the business or a percentage of the profits.

It’s very important to have business skills when you’re a fashion designer. Because the main goal is to sell what you have by clicking to the public. Testmyidea is always interested in offering part of it’s assets in a deal.

There are many people out there who claim that they are entrepreneurs. However, though millions out there say they are, not everybody is a real businessman. The word tends to be used to tag anyone who starts a business, successful or not. But we need to do a little reality check if we truly want to use the title.

Alan sugar is an English entrepreneur, media personality and political advisor. From relatively humble origins in the East End of London, Sugar now has an estimated fortune of £830m (US.16 billion), and was ranked 59th in the Sunday Times Rich List 2009. Sugar best summed up an entrepreneur as a “schemer”. The dictionary defines this word as someone who plans and he has a vision to accomplish.

Many who claim the title of being a businessman don’t have the right plans for success which bring them to failure a hundred percent. It is obvious that success is very much tied up with what type of character the person is. This means that the report will start with not the business idea but with the person. Does he have what it takes? Can he survive the business industry? What does he know to venture in this kind of area? Those tough questions need to be considered on the first steps of being an entrepreneur.

But how does one who aspires know they have the right answers? Starting a business isn’t about the confidence in entering the world of marketing. It’s also about the right tactics. So how will budding entrepreneurs learn?

My idea is to give all those who want to be an entrepreneur the best chance of success by producing a free report on what qualifies one to really deserve the title “entrepreneur”. Everything you want to know about starting a business is right there. All you have to do is grab a copy!

Earn your title and work your way through being a real successful entrepreneur. It is a treasure trove of information and valuable resources that can help small business owners and upcoming entrepreneurs in their business pursuits.

How Can A Resource Directory Help?

It can serve different uses for different businesses. For an established business, it serves as a local business directory that offers a category-wise business listing. For a budding entrepreneur, it offers a platform for finding software utilities and freelancers. For businesses that want to improve the traffic to their websites, it provides web site listing opportunities and other resources for search engine optimization purpose.

It is better to define a resource directory on the basis of the purpose it serves. The following are some of the possible uses.

Business Opportunities

Almost all businesses sell something – products, services, and suchlike. A business can list its services or products in a directory so that potential buyers can find these services or products. This is a great platform for finding local listings for business-to-business buying and selling. For instance, software products can be listed as anti-virus software, accounting packages, special customer relationship management (CRM) packages, keyword research tools, and online traffic managers. One can find services as well that may relate to data entry, copy writing, and directory submissions. In other words, the directory can serve as an effective platform connecting service providers and service seekers.

For example, large businesses that seek affiliate marketers for their websites can find many potential affiliate marketers listed in a directory. It provides both the large businesses and the affiliate marketers to get the best possible deal.

Success Stories

A resource directory can include a section on success stories. This is beneficial to new businesses as well as to existing businesses. New businesses can derive inspiration from such stories, while existing businesses get some space to convey the world regarding the effectiveness of their services. It can be through the medium of blogs, books, videos, or audios.

New businesses can learn a lot from the experience of successful ventures. They can stop making the same mistakes that inexperienced people always tend to make. A directory can include useful tips and how-to articles as well. These articles provide valuable information on how to make the best out of utilities that are available free of cost.

Web Promotion Tools

Perhaps the most important feature of a resource directory is the listing of many webmaster and online marketing tools. Small business owners can find all the information they need to promote their websites. Not many small businesses can afford to hire high-profile SEO companies. Such businesses can use a resource directory to increase the visibility of the website.

It includes information on cost-effective SEO services and lists service providers who can help small businesses a great deal in securing a higher rank in search engine results. For example, you can find services that range from free web design tools and templates to affiliate marketing software. In short, a directory provides valuable help for small and medium online businesses.

Emarketing Resource Directory is a local search directory for small business owners, Internet entrepreneurs and webmasters. It serves as valuable marketing resource helping to promote businesses online.

In two months i ill be receiving a degree in business Administration.

I have had numerous internships in areas such as logistics, marketing, finance and controlling, but to be honest, none of these areas seemed to interest me at all!!!!!!!!! I found each one of them totally boring and tiresome.

During my studies, i never liked human resources or developing strategies etc. I hated LAW with all my heart and soul. I appreciated a pass in the exam.

I wonder if i chose the wrong degree….

I love to travel and be free in my mind. I feel depressed as an employee or taking orders.. i love freedom and working in a free and a relaxed atmosphere having an overview over everything and having to make decisions on my own.

Be an entrepreneur? I will need a good business idea. So how do i come up with a good idea? I cannot create anything, i cannot design anything, i don’t even know what my talent is, and worst of all i have no slight idea about what i am good at!!

I appreciate all your answers.

Thank you.

cmypitch.com is an online community for entrepreneurs and business owners. Using video, it connects businesses to sources of funding, information, advice, opportunities and services.

It has three main groups of users: 1. business owners; 2. investors; and 3. business service providers. Through video, businesses can present their ideas and companies with real impact. Investors can get an instant feel for the people behind an idea or a company. Service providers can differentiate their services to a targeted group.

The community focuses on different stages of the business life cycle, and within each one, business people can network, build their contacts, share ideas and interact with like-minded individuals. cmypitch.com is unique for the following reasons:

o It is the first site in the UK to use video as a platform to connect entrepreneurs seeking funding for their business with investors.
o It provides a niche business directory with 60,000 suppliers for business owners. Each supplier can upgrade their listing to a cmypitch premium listing and market themselves to the targeted cmypitch community.
o Through ‘Entrepreneur TV’ cmypitch.com interviews and showcases the most successful entrepreneurs in their fields.
o The dynamic user-generated information centre, seeded by cmypitch.com and further populated by directory members, provides fantastic insights and relevant information about the business and entrepreneurial world.

1. Business Owners: entrepreneurs, start-ups and small & medium businesses

In the UK alone, approximately 500,000 people start a business each year, and join approximately four million who already run small and mid sized companies. cmypitch.com will support these businesses by connecting them to sources of funding, advice, opportunities and services. Business owners looking for equity funding of £25,000 or more, post two-minute video ‘pitches’ on cmypitch.com, presenting their propositions to potential investors. Investors can review the videos online, filtering them according to market sector, location, and the size of investment required. Think Dragons’ Den meets YouTube, but only for serious investment opportunities.

Easy and affordable access to good professional advice is crucial to business success. With the ‘Tailored Advice’ feature, businesses can post a short video outlining their business issue and can be contacted by professional consultants within the business directory offering tailored consultancy on how to address the problem.

‘Entrepreneur TV’ shows interviews with successful entrepreneurs to help aspiring entrepreneurs and business owners learn from their experiences. Interviewees to date include: Kwik-Fit founder, Sir Tom Farmer Champneys boss, Stephen Purdew YO Sushi! founder, Simon Woodroffe Formula One’s Eddie Jordan Glasses Direct founder, Jamie Murray Wells Serial entrepreneur and presenter of Risking it All, Martin Webb Red Letter Days founder and former ‘Dragon’, Rachael Elnaugh Founder of eSpotting and star of Millionaires Mission , Seb Bishop Travel industry entrepreneur, Ray Nolan

There are three channels where business people and entrepreneurs can research a wide range of opportunities, depending on their areas of interest: franchising, business opportunities (where people can earn additional income without a large upfront cost) and businesses for sale. Businesses for Sale focuses on mid-market businesses (valued at over £250,000).

Users can access the business directory, which includes a list of 60,000 suppliers and professional advisors across more than 20 service categories, such as accountants, banks, lawyers and marketing agencies. Users can either search the directory themselves or post a request (lead) for a supplier or consultant to call them back.

Within each community area of the site, users can access blogs, participate in forums, join groups, and keep up to date with all the relevant events. Community members can create personal and business profiles and build their contacts and referral network.

cmypitch.com is the first site to offer video profiles of emerging and interesting start-up companies – a great way for new businesses to raise their profile. The cmypitch.com team is constantly on the look out for exciting start-ups to profile, such as Kindo.com, Amuso.com, Plebble.com, W-41.com, Findsyou.com, Lastseason.com, Mucho Mas and Findatvexpert.com.

cmypitch.com also features classified advertisements for start-ups looking to assemble a new team. Businesses can post a video to attract potential employees, mentors and nonexecutives. Candidates can receive email alerts where a posting matches their criteria.

2.Investors

For investors, including the UK’s 18,000* angel investors, cmypitch.com makes the task of identifying investment opportunities much quicker, simpler and more effective. They can save valuable time by reviewing online two-minute video pitches, allowing them to not only assess the business opportunity but also the people behind the proposition – something that usually requires a time-consuming, face-to-face meeting. Pitches can be filtered by size, market sector, location and rating, and investors can receive email alerts when a new pitch is added to the site that matches their preferred criteria. Investors can also view opportunities in the business for sale channel. *source EISA (Enterprise investment Scheme Association)

3. Business service providers

cmypitch.com gives service providers fast and affordable access to a targeted business community across the UK. With a premium listing, suppliers can advertise in the directory using video to communicate more directly with their potential customers. They can market themselves across the site by uploading resources to the Information Centre and respond to requests submitted to the Tailored Advice section. In addition, they can answer leads that match their requirements based on location, sector and company size. Leads from businesses are sent directly into their cmypitch inbox where they can be managed easily. Banks can direct start-up companies to cmypitch.com knowing that it is a reliable and credible source of information that will help them start or grow a business. They can also refer businesses to cmypitch.com to apply for funding.

Some people have the hardest time when it comes down to analyzing an online business opportunity. It doesn’t matter whether it’s an online business opportunity or a business offline. They have a tendency to struggle with understanding the difference between solid due diligence and being paranoid. Paranoia is nothing more then having excessive or irrational suspicions and distrust-in the motives of others.

This is not a business skill you want to use for researching business opportunities. However doing due diligence is a great skill if done right. Due Diligence is a process of, analytically, logically, and comprehensively judging an online business opportunity. This is where the problem starts most people don’t know how to properly do their due diligence effectively.

Now rightfully so, it’s okay to be a little suspicious. However, passing on an opportunity because it’s on the internet and sounds too good to be real, is just ridiculous. To be honest, there are more and more people turning to the internet. They are looking for help due to high unemployment, drop in the stock market and lousy housing market. Since an internet business is 100% recession proof. This is why there is an increase in the number of people getting involved in online businesses and finding great success, it’s not uncommon for an internet business owner to generate $5,000, $10,000 or even more-a week online.

Learning how to regulate effective online research is a skill that will help any potential online entrepreneur. Most of what is seen in videos on the web, particularly income proofs or live events with lots of people, is real. Furthermore, many of the people making income claims would welcome the opportunity to speak with you. Call them up, talk them, and see what your ‘gut instincts’ tell you.

Effective due diligence should include using every resource possible to determine how legit the online opportunity is. Potential entrepreneurs will want the resources to be credible and non-biased sites, such as The Better Business Bureau, Federal Trade Commission., and Consumer Reports. If there isn’t any dirt on the business opportunity after searching, it’s probably legit. Should this take a long time? The answer is yes, it should require some time and effort to do a through job of research. After finishing the through examination, the potential entrepreneur will have a solid sense if the company has true legitimacy or not. Then the decision will not be based on any random assumptions.

Not to mention, many types of online business opportunities, particularly MLM companies, are required to make their “income disclosure statements” public. An income disclosure statement detail how much money everyone in the company is really making, not just the top income earners. Make sure to always check the corporate websites for this report. It is a very revealing report and will cut through a lot of the smoke and mirrors.

Every relationship experiences its ups and downs, and for some, the downs may result in a breaking point. Business owners may handle such breaking points in different ways, but one thing is clear: while firing a client may be difficult, it’s important to be willing to cut the ties – and to know how to do so gracefully.

A new study from Jane Out of the Box, an authority on women entrepreneurs, recently revealed there are five distinct types of women in business. Each of these five types has unique approach to running a business—and as a consequence, they may respond differently to firing a client when the time comes. This article examines Go Jane Go and Merry Jane.

Go Jane Go is passionate about her work and may be a classic overachiever, possibly event taking on volunteer opportunities in addition to running a business (and maybe a family, too). She’s eager to make an impact on the world and may have a difficult time saying “no”. As a result, she may feel that she can’t get away from work or sometimes fall into periods where she’s stressed and not taking care of herself because her plate is so full. She dreams of having that elusive “balance,” even as she commits more tasks to her to do list.

For Go Jane Go, business is built on relationships, so ending one could feel traumatic, even if it’s the right thing to do for the business. Because she so willingly takes so much responsibility on herself, Go Jane Go may bend over backward trying to please her clients, even when they are being unreasonable. Because business feels very personal to her, she may also avoid confrontation, not wanting the client to feel she doesn’t care them as individuals. Finally, her strong desire to help and her confidence that she can deliver better results than nearly anyone else make keep her doggedly persistent in the relationship – refusing to let it “fail” by going above and beyond trying to please them.

Sometimes, however, relationships cannot be fixed because doing so requires changes on the other person’s part – something outside of Go Jane Go’s control. Here are some questions Go Jane Go should ask herself if she’s struggling with a difficult client:

Are you putting off ending this relationship because you like the client as a person? Even if you and this client are good friends, you must make sure your own needs are being met. If they aren’t willing to make sure you are also benefiting from the relationship, you can end the business aspects but maintain the camaraderie. Do you feel guilty when you think of letting them go? If guilt is your primary reason, gently remind yourself that this raw emotion should not ever be allowed to control you. Are you worried that they won’t be taken care of well, elsewhere? If so, recognize this may be the best thing for them because it will cause them to see the value you bring in a different light. I’ve parted ways with clients only to have them return a year later with a greater appreciation for the partnership. You might think of it as being akin to letting your children ride the bike, even though you know they’re going to fall. You have to let them fall – because in the falling, they have the opportunity to grow. Difficult clients can well be the same.

Therefore, if you have a difficult client, please take the time to develop a pros and cons list. Force yourself to see what this harmful relationship is costing you in terms of your time and your energy. If it is draining you, have the courage to end it. You and your other clients will reap the rewards when you do because you’ll feel so much lighter.

Merry Jane. This entrepreneur is usually building a part-time or “flexible time” business that gives her a creative outlet (whether she’s an ad agency consultant or she makes beautiful artwork) that she can manage within specific constraints around her schedule. She may have a day-job, or need to be fully present for family or other pursuits. She realizes she could make more money by working longer hours, but she’s happy with the tradeoff she has made because her business gives her tremendous freedom to work how and when she wants, around her other commitments.

Since Merry Jane has limited hours to work in her business, she is more likely than other entrepreneurs to say finding new customers is a challenge. She’s happy keeping her business within manageable limits, but firing a client may diminish an already-small client base. Therefore, she’d like to keep the customers she has, whenever possible. Still, Merry Jane values her freedom, time, and opportunity to express herself through her work so much, she won’t tolerate an abusive situation for long because she’s committed to enjoying the lifestyle she’s created.

Some things for Merry Jane to consider to make the parting easier:

Focus on the amount of time and energy this “bad customer” is costing you. Is it worth it? If not, part ways sooner rather than later. Time and energy are resources that you can exchange for other resources – including money. If you took the time and energy this person is costing you and channeled it instead into marketing and sales, you’d replace this customer in no time – and probably add more than one replacement. Commit to a faster break so you can go find those customers who can’t wait to work with you.

Firing a client is never a walk in the park. But it can be a breath of fresh air for two parties who’ve been feeling the stress or a clean break from a disintegrating situation. Whether you’re a Go Jane Go and you just don’t want to end a friendly working relationship, or a Merry Jane who doesn’t want to lose a precious client, sometimes the end is just a new beginning in disguise.

Things you’re passionate about are obviously one of the best sources of the way a successful entrepreneur thinks. Just keeping an open mind and paying attention can get you a long ways also. Successful business ventures are everywhere but there are basically 5 components which truly make a successful person in business and life:

    – Knowledge. It would be difficult to impossible to succeed at doing something about which you have no knowledge at all. Starting a new business or old one without a thorough knowledge of your product or service is like starting a big card game without knowing the rules. It’s necessary to any successful business venture and the more you have, the successful your business will be. Definitely boost your confidence because it allows you to analyze the benefits and the pitfalls of your business.

    - Confidence. You must have this because if you want your customers to feel confident that your products or services will fulfill their needs, then your self-confidence will go a long way toward giving them that feeling. By knowing your business inside and out, you will produce a confidence in the tone of your voice when talking and writing to others.

    - Motivation. It also plays a big part because it’s much easier to be highly motivated when you first start a business because its fresh. When your business start to age and its becoming bore is what you have to stay on top. Keeping your focus and motivation is paramount to a successful and profitable business. You don’t want to let complacency set in no time when running your business.

    - Strategies. Anticipate all of the things that you must do to continue to be successful. Don’t never forget what got you to be successful in the first place. You must always remember to continue to map out your success and profits by not forgetting where you put the map.

    - Resourcefulness. Whatever that got you to the point of being successful, you must always should be able to make adjustments if need be. So if you ever run into a problem keeping you from executing your plan don’t turn around and leave the situation. Find a way to overcome it and be persistent until you get back on track or make it better.

Having a thorough knowledge of your business, maintaining your focus and motivation, developing strategies and a plan, following it to the tee, and being resourceful are all part as being successful as an entrepreneur. When you see highly successful business people, these are the main components they are performing. A tip to remember, it isn’t a higher education or intelligence that will make you successful.
