NO! Look at billionaires like Richard Branson, Walt Disney, Bill Gates, and Carlos Slim. None of them finished or went to college. Richard didn’t finish high school. Walt Disney didn’t even finish 4th grade.
Is going to college necessary to becoming a successful entrepreneur? NO! Will it help? Maybe. I went to college and have a business degree. I found it helpful in that I knew how not to mess up. I read enough case studies and history to know what works in business and what doesn’t. You can potentially avoid the “school of hard knocks” by going to college. However, I really felt that I learned when I actually went to work and found great mentors.
What I recommend is go into sales. You’ll learn how to take rejection and how to market, sell, and communicate. These are necessary to be a successful entrepreneur.
