look at the grades you got in school, what did you do best in? Do you have hobbies, then do you enjoy doing them and are you good at them? Are you creative? Do you sew? then maybe you can do engineering, ad writing, etc. Are you good at math, then you would do well in business if you are.
You didn’t say your age so we don’t know how many courses you have had and how many things you’ve tried.
So go to your junior college and ask them for a skills assessment. They will give you a test (there is no right or wrong answer). Just be truthful, according to how you feel, and they will pull the answers together and tell you what you’d be good doing. Even then, after you know that you might want to improve on those skills…but you might want to try new things as well. Don’t turn down an opportunity to swim, skydive, be a group’s treasurer, sell something, work for different companies just for experience.
well, what do you LIKE to do. i like working on cars, and i hope to open my own shop one day. so just what ever you like to do, there is probably a business for it, so whenever you get enough money, open that kind of business
Entrepreneurs need to be creative and out of the norm, which you sound like you might be. I don’t know how old you are, but if you are in HS or college, take one of those job intrest tests. They might even have them online. If you go to college and get skills in Accounting so you can manage your money and business admin so you can have an idea on running a business you will do just fine. Keep thinking, and WRITE things down. When you get a thought write it down and the next day, before you go to be, read your thoughts. That is what successful people do.
First off, you need to have confidence and believe in yourself. You have to be good at something and if not you keep practicing until you have achieved what it is that you want. You cannot give up no matter how hard it gets
If you want to be an entrepreneur, and you know that’s what you really want then go for it. Speak with college and school counselors and see what the requirements are. Do research online and at your local library. Good luck to you! ;0)
First of all, there is little help to be found here. You will find work at something in order to survive. As you evolve in the workplace, in order to increase your income, you will drift towards the things you do best. You may very well be the best toilet cleaner in the world and discover a revolutionary way to clean them. The choices you make in life are always retroactive rather than proactive. Look at how many people change their college majors to see this. Your job is to do the best you can with any task before you. Your life will grow from this.
Before you write yourself off, I would consult with experts in the field for anything you want to go into, regardless of how much you think you lack the skills for it.. There are associations for just about every type of group you can think of, and most can be find by searching for association + “whatever kind of people you want to talk to.”
Nobody starts off with the skills they need for what they are going to do in life, they learn them before they get started, and spend the rest of their life developing them.
I found the following list of associations in the Internet Public Library http://www.ipl.org by looking under their Business & Economics/Entrepreneurship section. They have many more such lists for different groups you might be interested in. If you don’t live in the countries that the groups cater to, they can probably give you links to comparable organizations where you live.
