Everyone likes a bit of good news from time to timeĀ  especially those in small business who may have struggled to stay afloat over the last year or three. The good news for them is that 2010 is predicted by experts to be a good year for small business. While there will still be challenges, this is not specific only in small business. The idea is to meet those challenges head on rather than side-stepping them in the hopes that they will go away.

Experts have found that around 65% of small business owners are feeling buoyant and hoping for better things from now on. The list of small business opportunities and expansion for those considering going into business includes such areas as retail, technology, pets, the environment and travel.

If you already own a small business, now may be a good time to look into expanding in some way. Many small business owners seem reluctant to have an online presence, even though their bigger cousins have nearly all found expanding into cyber space with a website is beneficial to their business.

So ask how your small business could benefit from going online. You could get an increase your income by getting more customers, or maybe you could streamline the bookkeeping side of things to make it quicker and more efficient, thus saving money.

Some small businesses could benefit from having a presence on networking sites such as Twitter to quickly connect with potential customers or clients. Or maybe you could use email to send out newsletters or other information to your customer database.
